The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage is a play-based, child centered education framework and standard for all schools in the United Kingdom. Children are empowered to be active participants in their learning and are valued members of the school community. It rests upon 4 guiding principles and 7 key areas of development. Through them, the EYFS aims to achieve important learning milestones for correct childhood development.
The Language of Children
The Language of Children© is a play-based, child centered approach which achieves important developmental and academic milestones through a focus on the specific interests of children. Students are empowered to be active participants in their learning and are valued member of the school community; their voice and ideas are valued. Pedagogical inspiration has been drawn from several world renown early years’ models including the Italian Reggio Emilia and New Zealand Te Whariki. The educational learning objectives are drawn from the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and each child is seen as unique; each learning at their own pace
